A by Yigal Azrouel

Yigal Azrouël launched his brand in 1998 as the minimalism that defined that decade was on the wane. His designs have always referred back to that era, via sharp tailoring, draping, and architectural silhouettes. For spring, Azrouël is revisiting some of those sartorial codes once again; he said the collection is rooted in a less-is-more approach. Looking at his own archives, as many designers have been doing these days, he pulled references that he said “felt right to me for this moment.” Some recognizable pieces include a jersey one-shoulder draped minidress in black and a Grecian-style gray dress with an asymmetrical hem. The designer loves a sculptural shape, but he also understands that his clothes need to be pragmatic. Shop our curated collection of A by Yigal Azrouel at Carriage House.
